Get the all inclusive treatment in the Maldives

Of all the destinations offering all inclusive options, the Maldives is probably the one where it is most relevant and can save you a packet. If you ‘re staying in the Maldives chances are you are on an island resort without a regular shuttle to the main island of Male, if this is the case then you will most likely be eating at your hotel every night, unable, as you are in mainland hotels, to pop down the street to a local restaurant.

Though most Maldives resorts have an array of restaurants, you may find that you cannot eat at all within your all inclusive package and whilst the all inclusive buffet might be great for a night or two for an entire week you may find it getting boring. So pick your resort carefully and make sure that your all inclusive package lets you eat at as many restaurants as possible.

You can also congratulate yourself for making your holiday to the Maldives that bit greener by going all inclusive as by doing so, the hotel knows just how many to cater for limiting waste. This is especially relevant to the Maldives as apart from fish and coconut, most things are generally flown in by plane each day so the kitchens can prepare top quality, varied cuisine in all their restaurants.

Sometimes it’s the little things that add up to add a chunk to that bill at the end of your holiday and in the Maldives, drinking water is a scarce commodity. Generally you will find yourself drinking much more water than usual due to the hotter temperature and bottled water is never cheap, especially if you’re drinking six bottles a day for a week or two.

You will also want to make sure the all inclusive you get is the all inclusive you want. Some resorts will include alcoholic beverages in their offer but only those locally sourced, others will include popular worldwide brands. Some resorts will include watersports whereas others want, if you also check the costs of diving etc you can work out what activities you want to do and choose your resort accordingly.

You may also want to keep your eyes peeled for any extra little trips included in your all inclusive package and some resorts sweeten the deal with the likes of fishing trips, visits to uninhabited islands and moonlight cruises. These little extras can make a good holiday, an outstanding holiday and create memories that last a lifetime, so if you can get them included, go for it!

So make sure you get the most out of your all inclusive Maldives holidays and enjoy this holiday of a lifetime.
